Being new to sculpting, I have to challenge myself at it. I am learning many new things about sculpting with Green Stuff and armatures for the bones of the sculpture.
I figured I should sculpture a 15mm Human figure probably the greatest challenge any artist can attempt and a goal to achieve.
So here is my attempt. It a little taller than I would have liked, but it will work for the character he is to be.
I wanted to apply a lot of detail, which draws ones eyes from the smaller mistakes that will become unnoticeable.
Things that I have learned from this is I need a stiffer wire for the armatures the wire I used is a little flimsy. I also should set up more the one to sculpt, a little putty goes a long way in the 15mm scale projects, so I need to have back ups sculpts. I also learned that I need to tackle each sculpture in stages, making the base and the bones of body, followed by working my way up and I should either work on the head separately in order to maintain the figures height.
Mate, that looks a thousand times better than my first sculpt. Well done, he looks ace!
