Scooby-Doo Team

Scooby-Doo and the Gang is coming together very well. I had some conversion work to do to make them all look right for their part.

Fred, I did a head swap and added a scarf and big collar around the neck and a little extra hair.

Daphne, I had to file a bit of a groove in her hair and added a little extra more. I add some Green Stuff to make her thigh high boots to look more like pants and then gave some regulars looking boots as well.

Velma, I added glasses, shoulder bag, and skirt, I then gave her high top socks and boots

Shaggy I did a head swap added some extra hair and a goatee, I had to shave the sleeves of the arms to give shaggy his short sleeves then added some Green Stuff to finish off the sleeves

Scooby-Doo I just had to add Green Stuff for his eyewear and added a vest with pouches

I plan to use them with "Five Klicks from the Zone Chapter 1" rules and have them working to survive in what area they are in and to move about across the wasteland.

15mm Post Apocalypse Scooby-Doo And Gang

So I got this idea from seeing the covers of "Apocalypse Scooby-Doo" Comic Books. The first thing was can i get some figures that would work close enough for my project. After looking around I found some figures that I can use, Rebel Minis "Apocalypse Survivalist" there are six poses in a set of twelve figures in this set so you get two of each but I only need to use four of the poses. Luckily I have a set on hand for me to look over as to which ones will be part of the Gang. After some time thinking which four, I came to my conclusion as to which ones they are.

So from left to right (photo from Rebel Minis) Shaggy, Fred, Velma and Daphne.  Now I need to make some changes, I want to make a couple of head swaps for Shaggy and Fred with some heads from Peter Pig I have the heads on hand but miss placed my pin vise to drill out the neck area to receive the stem for the new heads. I had to order a new set and currently waiting on the mail system. I also need to add some Green Stuff for the additional changes.

For a Scooby-Doo, Alternative Armies has a great figure for that in their "Armored Elf Beast Masters" set in the HOT Fantasy range. The bonus is you can just order the dogs themselves in a set of four.

Here I just need to add some Green Stuff for the head harness and add a great paint job. I am still debating as to whether or not to add a body harness with pouches.

Now we need a "Mystery Machine" Here I decided to go with Hot Wheels Baja Breaker Van

I have one on the way from Ebay, for under $5.00. It will need a Mystery Machine paint job Apocalypse style. Plus I am going to add additional items that one may have during an Apocalypse.

I am waiting for all things to come together to go further at this time. In the meantime I am working on some buildings for this project that I hope to post soon.

Colony Bar & Grill part 2

The Bar and Grill is complete I have all the paint work done on this one now. It will be a central part of many of games to come. Like many RPG games that start out with the first sentence "You all meet up in a Tavern".

The place over all.

The Bar area, plenty of room to move around.

Dining area with lots of seating.

Kitchen where wonderful gourmet meals of many kinds is created.

Plus here is a room for those who might need a little relief

Well it lots of good time will be had with lots of drinking and eating to bring many of groups together.

Oh and by the way this is Patrick, the guy who will be operating the joint.

More about him later, but he does seem to know more about things going on then most folks around here.

Up next will be a general store.

Colony's Bar & Grill Part 1

I figured that every place needs to have that local greasy spoon place or local hangout. Of course there is the old standard start to almost every RPG  game "You all meet in a tavern". This piece is going to be a very busy place.

So here are some pictures of the place so far;

Front and back,

The kitchen,

The bar,

Booths for a regular  sit down meal

Plenty  of  doorway for in and out,

Shipping Container Colony Part 2

In my earlier post I had the main part of the project done, I just had to finish it by adding some details and paint.

Well the painting is done and it is ready for the table now, and the looks of it I can use it for other gaming as well.

So here it is;

Thank You for taken a look, I have a few more to build in yet in different combinations, so check back and see.

Welcome to Downtown (Update)

On an earlier post about HO Scale buildings, mostly about Plasticville HO Scale Buildings, I was cruising the local Goodwill Store when I spied a box of Guidancetown Building Set in HO Scale for only $5.00, figuring for $5.00 I couldn't go wrong getting these, if it doesn't work no big lost.

I got the box home and dived right in, seems that there is some parts missing but that's okay I could make 11 buildings and set up a small town, I don't like the style of the buildings but for the moment that's fine, it does confirm that HO Scale will work for my gaming needs and I can move forward with my ideas.

I have taken some comparison pictures of 15mm figures along with the buildings.

Here is a little layout of a small town on a cutting mat that's 24 inches by 35 inches.

Here is a small Diner or Convenience Store.

Here is a small House.

Here I have one that could be a small Store of sorts.

I really like the way this Figures look in comparison to the build's scale and I can't wait to get ahold of some more HO Scale buildings, I plan to have a fair size town for running Zombie games or Alien Invasion game not to forget giant Insect games as well. In addition I will get addition buildings to create  a Post Apocalyptic environment as well.
