Life On Saharamanji

Saharamanji has a vast amount of wild life and everyday there are more discoveries. There reason to believe that there could be thousands of different life forms. Much is not know about some of the wildlife currently know about.

Surmanji Dragons;
This species is usually seen in groups of three a male and two females, here at pictures of an adult male an adult female and an adolescent female, they are a large creature and their bite is dangerous due to infections that they cause, they have very powerful claws for digging and can move very fast for short distances.

 Sand Sifter;
A very large insectoid that is rather docile unless startle or threaten, in which it will charge at the  perceived threat. Which is the reason it is believed for it's large head.

Ant Lion;
This creature has been seen around Giant Ant colonies, it has been reported from witness of it grabbing ants and dragging them to it lair. They have been seen being very territorial of ant colonies against other Ant Lions, No one has had a close encounter with these creatures so no one know what it's reaction to people.

Turheep;
Turheep just seem like a good name for this creature. It looks between a sheep and a turtle, long legs for getting around relatively quick. It's head is like a sheep but with large horns. The shell on it's back is seem for protection from predators but my also from the heat of this desert as well. They are know to run away from trouble, and move around in small herds.

Scavenger Grub;
This creature is generally found around dead carcasses finishing off what was left behind not much in know about these, or what they may developed into after what is believed to be in it's larva stage.

Desert Lubber;
This animal is an omnivore, it moves around with no break neck speed but it can move very fast if threatened, it's large head horn is meant for ramming it's threats and it will trample the threat once it is knock down with short hopping leaps while on top of it's victims at this point. Once the thread is dead it will eat it's fill then move on. Most of it's time it eat very small animals and insect and plants along it path.

Butt Face Worm;
Nothing is really known about this creature it's name comes from a feature on it's tail end the looks very much like a humans face, it is Thought that this feature deters predators from attacking from behind. it is believed to eat on much smaller animals.

Obnoxious Cucumber;
This creature is a scavenger animal it move slowly across the desert looking for it's next meal usually dead things. Great care is need around this animal if attacked or threaten it will release a very obnoxious gas, that is very distasteful for creatures of Saharamanji but can be fatal to humans and other life forms not original from this planet.

Manji Adler;
This is a very large and dangerous snake like creature. It's an ambush animal but is know to hunt down it prey as well. It's strike can crush bones and shells of many creatures of the desert. It has a poisonous bite but the venom only paralyzes it's prey for the consuming their prey alive.

Giant Desert Centipede;
 This creature moves about quickly constantly looking for it's next meal. It attacks with a quick strike with venomous fangs killing it's prey very quick. Once the prey is dead it will consume it quick for it to move on to the next meal.

Scattered Terrain Objects

I wanted some scattered terrain objects, you know the smaller stuff of plants and rock and alike. I also wanted something different then the aquarium plants glue to chipboard or MDF.

So I got kicking around on YouTube and seen some of these craft video's of what some folks were doing with Polymer Clay and figured why not.

I had a small block of FIMO (White) for some other reason to which I can no long recall. I grabbed and handful of finder washer for a base and to hold steady when in storage on magnetic tape at the bottom of the tackle/craft boxes.

Using a Fender Washer, I used some clay for a base on the washer then just went from there. I created a few rock formations with crystals and a few more with plants. Not to sure of what kind of plant to make so I just winged it.

After making the few that I have, it was time to bake them so into the oven at 250 F for 30 Minutes, then take them out and waited until cool.

Crystals;

Plants;

And here are some with a GZG figure for scale comparison;

I tried to keep it close to what I wanted for 15mm but I am sure they could work for other scales too. Now I just have to paint them up and give them some sealant coats and their reading for gaming.

More Cardboard Terrain

My Cardboard Terrain is growing large now!

Needing some additional terrain to go along with the cardboard terrain that I have previously made. https://silo1313.blogspot.com/2017/09/my-terrain-continues.html  I needed some smaller ones to fill in areas to help limit access.

Still using all the same building construction technics as I have before. Layering as I go.

I did make a couple of larger pieces.

This one is of the start of an inside of a volcano I am still working on this one I don't know just how big it's going to be. There is going to be a lave fall plus a couple of pools of lava as well. You can see in the pictures that there is three entrances into the mouth of this volcano giving to a lot options as to how a game can play out.

This piece will work great for my other games as well Fantasy, Pulp, and Pirates!

They all still need to be covered and and finished they are shaping up very well I really like the idea of just being able to place a few pieces on the table and go. Now I will have more options plus a few more ideas have come to mind, that I can't wait to get started on as well.
