Travellar Project

For all the Traveller Fans out there.

So I got the idea from one of the guys at The Miniatures Page who has been posting his ideas of deck plans of Traveller ships, looking at his great work he has been doing when it hit me PVC!!!

So I got a 2 inch cap.

A 2 inch to 1 and 3/4 inch reducer.

A section of two inch PVC pipe.

Six inches long

Put them all together and you have a Launch ship or a Ship's Boat and with some added work you could make a Pinnace ship.

Of course I have to add landing gears and some work as far as panels and alike, plus add widows but here's an idea of size.

The figure is 15mm.co.uk and the vehicle is as well their Hover Support Wagon.

This project is on hold for now until we move and sorry about the poor pictures most everything is packed up and had to use the coffee table.

Hope this will inspire you to make your own ships and gives you something for your gaming fun!

Dollar Tree Find!

Okay this is a quick posting.

Went to the Dollar Tree store today and while looking around came across these ceramic Halloween haunted houses that seem to be about the right scale for 15mm gaming, there is a set of six in all, four houses, a church and a lighthouse. They are of a the victorian style

As one can see in the photos you can have a nice little setting in no time, fighting Zombies in the old section of your town or city, or Post Apocalyptic setting, or running for your life in your favorite horror setting.

You can repaint them if you wish or just use as is.

Just reminding again they are ceramic

What to Do?

Okay picked up a few of these things okay it was about a dozen of them at the junk store and now it's time to figure out what to do with them.

Okay the paper stand-in next to the thing, the figure it's self is about 17mm and the rest is a little taller as to gives it some scale of size.

The egg thing is 2 and 3/4 inches tall or 70mm and 2 inches wide or 50mm

Laying on it's side

View of the bottom

Thoughts so far are;

  • Escape Pod
  • Habitat Module
Still thinking of other ideas.

Back to the Drawing Board

Well the deal for the new house fell through, seems the title was not free and clear and had issues with it's title, so back to the hunt, so things are still on hold. This really sucks!!

I have ordered some new stuff and will be posting them as they come in. As far as painting and building goes that's all on hold a lot of stuff is packed up and ready to move.

So the new gaming room is on hold for now but it will come, I have plans for the decor of the room in my mind and can't wait to put it in to action!

The basic room will have 6" boards for molding at the top and bottom with 6" boards space "X" apart depending on room size "T's" will be cut and "X" holes drilled in to them, then mounted at  horizontal and vertical intersections of 6" boards then round top wood plugs will go in the holes then all will be painted to give the look of steel post and beams with rivets.
